A spectacular tribute to high school and college football, the Carolinas Connection displays helmets from every high school and college football team in North and South Carolina. The permanent attraction, located in the east end zone of the 500 level at Bank of America Stadium, features 643 total helmets.
"Prep and college football programs play important roles in communities across our region. The sport creates lifetime memories for players, fans and families. The Carolina Panthers are pleased to salute high school and college football with the Carolinas Connection, as well as recognize the important role the sport plays in bringing people together throughout the Carolinas," said Riley Fields, the Carolina Panthers director of community relations.
Unveiled during the 2005 season, the project took more than a year in development and was designed by Charlotte-based Studio displays with Schutt Sports providing the color-specific helmets for each school in North and South Carolina.
