The Carolina Panthers honor youth football coaches - tackle and flag - through the Youth Football Coach of the Week program. The program recognizes youth football coaches who, through their hard work and dedication to young people, have made a difference in the lives of their players and have substantially impacted youth football through their volunteer efforts.
"The Carolina Panthers are proud to recognize some of the region's top youth football coaches, who give tirelessly to their teams and communities. The impact made by these coaches goes well beyond the playing field," said Riley Fields, the Carolina Panthers director of community relations.
Ten winning coaches will receive a Panthers gift pack and certificate and be honored during a special on-field ceremony at a Panthers preseason home game.
All youth football coaches in the Carolinas are eligible for the Youth Football Coach of the Week regardless of their team's size, league or division. Coaches are evaluated on their impact on their team, league and community.
Youth football league administrators, parents and community members in North and South Carolina are encouraged to nominate outstanding youth football coaches in their area for the award by downloading and completing the nomination form. Coaches may not nominate themselves, nor can their family members submit nominations.
