The Carolina Panthers salute the thousands of players, cheerleaders, coaches and volunteers that make youth football a rewarding experience for children and families in the Carolinas. The team, along with the NFL and USA Football, celebrates the start of the football season each year with USA Football Month.
USA Football Month promotes growth, player development and values of football at the grassroots level. During USA Football Month, the Panthers and USA Football team up to provide 4,000 players, cheerleaders and coaches from youth football leagues across the region with tickets to a preseason game at Bank of America Stadium. Players and cheerleaders experience the thrill of leading the Panthers onto the field, participating in a special anthem presentation and serving as honorary coin toss captains.
The Panthers also publicize USA Football Month through the Challenger Flag Football League, Highlight Heroes and Football Mom 101 programs, public service announcements on television and radio, on-field and event banners, in-stadium recognition, field stencils, and articles in team publications.
"The Carolina Panthers are excited to share the NFL experience with children and their families. USA Football Month is a terrific way to celebrate our sport at the grassroots level while recognizing the positive and memorable experiences the sport of youth football provides," said Riley Fields, the Carolina Panthers director of community relations.
